In America over 700 women die each year due to pregnancy-related complications, making the U.S. the most dangerous developed nation in the world in which to give birth. The #BlanketChange campaign challenges policy makers to enact legislation that lowers maternal death rates. On October 10th 2018, we launched the campaign by laying 700 receiving blankets on the National Mall, one for each mother lost in the previous year.
