The Meatball Express

Meatball_Cover
In a previous post I teased a big personal project I have been working on for a while now. I am happy to report that my debut project as a children’s book illustrator is now complete and available for purchase!
The Meatball Express is a story written by my grandfather. It evolved as a bedtime story he told my uncle when he was a little boy. My grandfather approached me with the idea of getting a manuscript and a few illustrations ready to show potential publishers. I decided that it was would be a great project for me to take on and I illustrated the whole story!

The concept of adults listening to a child’s simple solutions encourages free expression of their world of imagination.

The book is 48 pages long with over twenty double spread illustrations. The story is about a sad town’s search for happiness and a young boy who is full of good ideas. On a big journey a group of the town farmers discover a train that they know will connect their town to the countryside and bring happiness. There is only one problem its missing wheels and track!
You’ll have to read the book or take a good look at the pictures here if you want to see how they manage to get home!
The book is available through Blurb.com’s online store and can be purchased in two sizes 11″x13″ and 8″x10″.
The 11×13 is a hard back book available for $78
The 8×10 is a soft cover available for $29
Here are links to the Blurb Store:
