Process with Pat Taylor
Had a wonderful time last night at the home of Pat and Nancy Taylor as part of Design Week DC. They welcomed 10 lucky participants into their cozy Georgetown home for a tour of his studio, some snacks, and a great discussion on design process and stories from Pat’s long career in design.
Pat and Nancy were very generous with their time and both seemed to enjoy having the company. Pat was definitely at home leading the discussion, I imagine that he was a great professor when he taught at the Corcoran.
It was inspiring to see a man who, even after a long career in design, is still deeply passionate about it and can’t help but smile as he tells stories of both success and failure. The discussion wandered from design process and business practices to life in general.
